Frequently Asked Questions

  • No, you don't need prior experience to attend a class. Classes are designed for all levels and we offer modifications for each individual's specific needs.

  • Three balls: Two small rubber and one 8”-12” inflated. These are my favorites for the class:

    No need to worry if you don’t have the exact equipment—there are easy substitutes:

    • Two pinky balls, racquetballs, or even tennis balls can work in place of the small pair.

    • AVOID: hard balls like golf balls.

    • If you don’t have a squishy ball, you can use a rolled-up yoga mat.

  • At Mae Chesney Pilates, we put our clients' needs first and prioritize safety and alignment above all else. We believe that Pilates is for everyone and want you to feel good about who you are right now. Mae brings a holistic approach, a passion for understanding how the body works and a unique fluidity to her classes. Our hope is that you leave each class feeling stronger, freerer and more grounded in yourself.

  • The frequency of attending classes can vary based on individual goals and fitness levels. We recommend attending at least once a week. As you progress and become more familiar with the exercises, you may choose to increase the frequency. Consistency is key in Pilates, and the more regularly you practice, the sooner you’ll experience its transformative effects on your body and mind.


  • You're welcome to try any class, Sunday 11:30am Revitalize Flow is slower paced and can be a great place to start.

  • To use your package, click the "Schedule" button in your initial confirmation email each time, or use the Certificate Code also found in your initial confirmation email. Save your confirmation email or code for easy sign-in each time. Contact us if you have any issues.

  • It's not required but we would love to work with you one on one before you join a class to get to know your specific needs.

  • Props are prefered but not required. We offer exercises and modifications for all clients in attendance with and without props.

  • We prefer that your video stays on but it's fine to keep it off if you need to.

  • If you need to cancel any Pilates session, please do so at least 24-hours before your appointed time or you will still be responsible for paying for the session.
